Bajaj has launched the updated 2025 Dominar 400 with new tech, ride modes, and touring features to rival the KTM 390 Duke.

I still remember my ride on the old Bajaj Dominar 400 on the old Pune-Lonavala highway. The way it pulled in higher gears and handled open stretches left a lasting impression. Now for 2025, Bajaj has given this power cruiser a serious update. And honestly, the new Dominar 400 looks ready to take the fight straight to the KTM 390 Duke.

Bajaj Dominar 400 Gets a High-Tech Cockpit

Bajaj has swapped in a fresh LCD cluster, the same one we first saw on the NS400Z. It’s a clean, single-screen setup that ditches the old dual display. The new screen has Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. And the old tank display is gone — replaced by a much more useful USB charging port. Good move Bajaj.

Ride Modes Make Bajaj Dominar 400 More Versatile

What really stands out is the addition of ride-by-wire and four riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport and Off-road. Paired with traction control (that you can turn off in Sport or Off-road), the Bajaj Dominar 400 now adjusts its behavior to your ride. Whether you’re cruising city streets or powering through gravel paths, there’s a mode for it.

Bajaj Dominar 400 Is Built for Touring Comfort

Bajaj hasn’t forgotten what made the Bajaj Dominar 400 popular — its touring DNA. The handlebar is now tuned for a more upright, relaxed stance. You also get a rear luggage rack with GPS mount, and touring-friendly features like handguards, tall visor and engine bash plate from the factory.

Power That Still Packs a Punch

The 373.3cc single-cylinder engine is back, now OBD-2B compliant. The engine continues to produce 40 PS and 35 Nm, giving it plenty of punch for both daily commutes and weekend getaways. The 6-speed gearbox still has assist and slipper clutch and feels just as smooth as before.

Bajaj Dominar 400 Offers More for Less

Priced at ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Bajaj Dominar 400 is cheaper than the KTM 390 Duke by a significant margin. But what you get is a feature loaded, comfort oriented bike that’s good for performance and practicality.

The return of the Canyon Red colour and a host of upgrades makes the Dominar 400 not just look better but feel smarter, safer and more purposeful than ever.
