Triumph Unleashes Bold New Look for 2026 Scrambler 1200 X: What You Need to Know

A Classic Reinvented: 2026 Triumph Scrambler 1200 X

Triumph’s Scrambler 1200 X is back for 2026, looking tougher than ever while keeping its proven core intact. This isn’t about more power or tech – it’s about presence. And it gets that from a rugged new paint job that’s ready to turn heads both in the city and off the beaten path.

What’s New: Matt Khaki Green Paint Rules

Biggest highlight? A new Matt Khaki Green paint scheme that’s military-inspired and go-anywhere. It’s the kind of colour that looks good in traffic or on a muddy trail.

Along with the green is Phantom Black on the headlight cowl, side panels and mudguards – a visual upgrade with attitude.

Engine and Performance: Still a Beast

While the looks got a makeover, the mechanicals remain the same – and that’s a good thing. You still get the 1200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with 89 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm.

It feels muscular and responsive with a 270-degree crank and ride-by-wire throttle, and the six-speed gearbox is smooth whether you’re cruising or carving through hills.

Rugged but Refined Chassis

Beneath its rugged new appearance, the Scrambler 1200 X carries a strong tubular steel frame paired with 45mm Marzocchi USD forks at the front and dual rear shocks with piggyback reservoirs at the back, both offering 170mm of suspension travel for versatile terrain handling.

Braking is handled by twin 310mm front discs with Nissin calipers and a 255mm rear disc, with cornering ABS for confident stops – even when the road disappears.

Comfort Meets Capability

Seat Height: 820mm. The 1200 X sits lower to the ground compared to the taller XE model, making it more welcoming for shorter riders. An optional lower seat can drop that by almost an inch to make it more accessible to more riders.

Five Riding Modes (including Off-Road and Rider custom mode), switchable traction control, LED lighting and a bright color TFT display – this bike has modern tech and scrambler DNA.

India Launch and Price

Global deliveries start in July 2025 and India launch will follow soon. Price will be slightly higher but will be close to the current ₹11.83 lakh ex-showroom.

2026 Triumph Scrambler 1200 X FAQs

Does the 2026 Scrambler 1200 X get any engine upgrades?
Not this time. Powering the 2026 Scrambler 1200 X is the same trusted 1200cc parallel-twin that churns out a punchy 89 bhp and a meaty 110 Nm of torque – more than enough for daily cruising or weekend escapes.

Is the new Khaki Green color available in India?
Yes, the new Matt Khaki Green will be part of the India launch.

Verdict

The 2026 Scrambler 1200 X isn’t about change – it’s about evolution. By making it look bolder and more adventurous without messing with what works, Triumph have made this scrambler more appealing than ever. If you like timeless style with just the right amount of grime and glamour, get a look.
