MG Cyberster India Launch Details
The electric vehicle segment in India is about to get a game-changer with MG Motor’s confirmation of the Cyberster launch on June 25, 2025. The all-electric convertible sports car marks MG’s return to its sporting heritage, bringing cutting-edge tech to the Indian premium car market.
Bookings for the MG Cyberster have started across the country and deliveries will begin in July 2025. The car will be available only at MG’s premium “MG Select” showrooms, with 12 exclusive showrooms planned across major cities in India.
The Cyberster will come in as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) which directly impacts its positioning in the luxury electric vehicle segment. This import strategy allows MG to launch the car quickly while maintaining global quality standards.
Performance and Specifications
The Indian market will get the Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive variant, which will be Asia’s fastest MG roadster. The electric powertrain produces 503 bhp and 725 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.
The 77 kWh battery pack has a WLTP combined range of 443 km, addressing range anxiety for performance enthusiasts. The car supports rapid charging, 10-80% charge in 38 minutes with a 150 kW DC fast charger.

Design and Features
The Cyberster has design elements that are unique to India. The two-door convertible has scissor doors, a first for an electric car in India. The soft-top convertible roof operates automatically and integrates seamlessly with the car’s aerodynamic profile.
The interior is a fighter-jet inspired cockpit with a tri-screen dashboard. A 10.25-inch virtual instrument cluster flanked by two 7-inch screens for entertainment and driving information and a separate climate control display.

The MG Cyberster will be priced between ₹60 lakhs to ₹80 lakhs (ex-showroom) and will be a premium electric sports car. This will put it in competition with luxury electric cars like BMW i4 and convertible options like BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz AMG E53 Cabriolet.
