What’s New: A Trident with Racing Roots and Modern Muscle
Triumph has launched the Trident 660 Triple Tribute Edition – and it’s not just a new paint job. Inspired by the legendary ‘Slippery Sam’ that ruled the Isle of Man TT in the 1970s, this special Trident gets modern tech that brings its racing roots into 2025.
From race-inspired graphics to updated electronics and comfort-focused add-ons, this Tribute Edition combines history with high-end performance.
Design: A Homage You Can Ride
This one turns heads at first glance. The bodywork is Sapphire Black with Cobalt Blue and Diablo Red stripes, a nod to Triumph’s racing heritage. A ’67’ graphic on the tank references Slippery Sam’s TT wins, while the red alloy wheels, black flyscreen and aluminum belly pan make this Trident look race-ready.
Performance & Engine: Same Heart, Sharper Bite
The Tribute is powered by the trusted 660cc inline 3-cylinder engine, known for its smooth delivery and thrilling revs. Output is 80 hp at 10,250 rpm with 64 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm – enough to keep experienced riders smiling and newbies confident. The 6-speed gearbox with quickshifter means clutchless gear changes in both directions.

Ride Tech: New Year, Smarter Ride
This isn’t just a sticker update. The 2025 Tribute Edition gets:
- Sport riding mode, along with Road and Rain
- 6-axis IMU, for lean-sensitive ABS and traction control
- Cruise control, now standard for relaxed touring
- You now get built-in Bluetooth with turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and call alerts – all accessible through the TFT display.
Suspension & Handling: Confidence for All Terrains
It’s built around a tubular steel perimeter frame with Showa 41mm USD forks and a rear monoshock with preload adjustment. The twin front discs with Nissin calipers and Michelin Road 5 tyres give the Trident great braking and road grip. At 190 kg wet with an 805 mm seat height, it’s easy to ride and agile in the corners.
Expected Price & Availability in India
While the price hasn’t been announced, the Trident Tribute is expected to be around ₹8.50 lakh (ex-showroom) a small premium over the standard model, but worth it for the tech and the looks. With global deliveries already underway since June, the India launch is expected any moment now.
