Tata Curvv Price Hike: What It Means for Your Purchase

Tata Curvv’s July 2025 price hike raises ex-showroom costs by up to ₹13,000 across most variants.

Tata Curvv Price Hike: What It Means for Your Purchase

What’s New: Tata Curvv Prices Just Went Up

Tata Motors has quietly updated the prices of its recently launched Curvv SUV and buyers planning to book one might feel a bit of a pinch.

From July 2025, most variants of the Tata Curvv have got a price hike of up to ₹13,000, while the base model and some Dark Editions are spared. Mid-spec petrol trims have got a smaller hike of around ₹3,000 but the rest of the range gets the full hit.

New Price Bracket: Where Things Now Stand

After the revision, the Tata Curvv now carries an ex-showroom price tag between ₹10 lakh and ₹19.52 lakh. The base petrol remains unchanged at ₹10 lakh which still makes it a solid buy.

But if you were eyeing a mid or top-spec variant – especially with diesel or DCT – it just got slightly more expensive to step into.

What’s Driving the Price Bump?

According to industry sources, this price revision is due to increasing input and production costs, a common trend among automakers this year.

This isn’t the first hike either. Similar increases happened in April and January 2025, so this might not be the last one either.

Engines and Features Still Make a Case

Despite the bump, the Curvv’s engine lineup is still a big draw:

  • 1.2L turbo-petrol,
  • 1.2L GDI turbo-petrol (Hyperion),
  • and a torquey 1.5L diesel.

Buyers can opt for either a smooth-shifting 6-speed manual or a quick 7-speed DCA automatic, depending on the trim. Even with the new pricing, Curvv still undercuts several competitors on certain specs and features – especially when it comes to design and tech.

Buying One? Factor in the Wait

If you’re in metro areas like Mumbai or Delhi, expect a waiting time of nearly 2 months. Other cities – including Pune, Chennai, and Patna – are currently seeing around 4 weeks before delivery. So if you’re planning to book one now, don’t delay.

How It Compares

Despite the price bump, the Curvv continues to hold its ground among rivals like:

  • Hyundai Creta
  • Maruti Grand Vitara
  • Kia Seltos
  • Honda Elevate
  • Citroen Basalt

Tata is also moving forward with the Curvv EV whose bookings had opened earlier – and that one will cost a premium too.

Tata Curvv Price Hike FAQs

Why did Tata increase Curvv’s price in July 2025?
Due to increasing input and production costs, Tata has increased prices of most Curvv variants by ₹3,000 to ₹13,000.

Has base model price changed?
No, the base petrol variant of Curvv still starts at ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Verdict

If you were already planning to buy the Tata Curvv, this hike shouldn’t be a deal breaker. Its specs, engine options and design still make it one of the most exciting new SUVs in the segment. But if you were on the fence, this might be the push to book before the next hike.
