The wait is over. Yamaha has confirmed the MT-07 is coming to India and it’s expected to hit showrooms by November 2025 or early 2026. Big news for streetfighter fans, especially those who’ve been waiting for the global model for years.

At its heart is a 689cc CP2 engine that churns out 73.4 PS and 67 Nm of torque. Sounds gritty, pulls hard and promises to be addictive. You also get a 6-speed gearbox with Assist and Slipper clutch and there’s a chance Yamaha might bring its new Y-AMT clutchless tech too.

The Yamaha MT-07 comes with a lot of modern features. A 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation via Garmin and rider modes like Sport and Street all come standard. Traction control and Yamaha’s Ride Control system for better handling and safety.

Design wise the MT-07 stays true to its aggressive roots with a muscular fuel tank, wide handlebar, sharp LED lights and a road ready stance. Lighter wheels, improved ergonomics and dual channel ABS are the other highlights.
