I caught the Tata Punch Facelift testing recently and even under the camouflage, it’s clear Tata is going to give this micro-SUV a big personality boost. The front looked sharper with a new grille and split headlamps inspired from the Punch EV. Even the alloy wheels had a new design, more road presence.
Inside, things get even more exciting. Front and center sits a 10.25-inch touchscreen atop the dash, marking a major step up from the old setup. I could also see the new two-spoke steering wheel with Tata’s logo, we’ve seen it on the Nexon. Rumours suggest digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging and even sunroof in higher variants.
Under the hood, Tata is likely to stick to the 1.2-litre petrol and iCNG options but there’s talk of a turbo-petrol joining the party. If that happens, it will heat up the competition big time.
With the 2025 festive season launch window being talked about, the Tata Punch Facelift might just set a new benchmark for small SUVs.
