The Next-Gen Toyota Hilux has finally been revealed, thanks to fresh patent leaks that give us a clear look at its new design. At first glance, it’s hard not to notice the more aggressive stance and the smug face. Those slimmer LED headlights with eyebrow-style DRLs look like the truck is ready for the next adventure. The large rectangular grille commands the front view, while the redesigned bumper brings a tougher character. Around the back, new LED taillights and a built-in step in the rear bumper make getting in and out of the bed easier.
Inside, the surprise continues. The utilitarian charm is replaced by a cabin refined enough to stand alongside Toyota’s luxury SUVs. A geometric dashboard layout surrounds a large floating touchscreen, likely up to 14 inches, with a fully digital driver display. Little touches like an electronic parking brake, repositioned AC vents and even ventilated seats and head-up display hint at a much more luxurious experience.
Under the skin, it’s still built on the proven IMV ladder-frame chassis with the trusty 2.8L turbo-diesel at its heart. A 48V mild-hybrid is expected and there’s talk of a plug-in hybrid in the future. With its mix of toughness and tech, the next Hilux is going to make 2026 a great year for pickup lovers.
