If you’ve been looking for a stylish and practical compact SUV, the Renault Kiger Facelift might just be the upgrade worth waiting for. Renault is giving its popular sub-4-metre SUV a fresh look and tech boost, with the launch scheduled for August 24, 2025. This facelift isn’t just about looks – it’s about keeping the Kiger competitive in a segment that’s seeing new launches galore.

New Design for a Stronger Road Presence

The 2025 Renault Kiger Facelift will sport a new ‘Nouvel’R’ logo, in line with Renault’s global brand shift. The front gets a sharper grille, reworked headlamps with new detailing and sportier bumpers. A new green colour option and redesigned alloy wheels will make the Kiger stand out in traffic.

While the overall shape remains the same, these changes give it a more modern and aggressive stance – something that buyers in this style-conscious segment will love.

More Features Inside the Cabin

Step inside and you’ll notice the biggest change – a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims are expected to get six airbags and 360-degree camera, features that bring it closer to segment leaders. A digital instrument cluster and updated upholstery are also on the cards.

Interestingly, despite the updates, a sunroof isn’t part of the package – Renault seems to be focusing more on safety and tech than panoramic views.

Proven Engine Options, Now E20-Ready

Under the hood, Renault is sticking with its trusty petrol engine lineup:

  • 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol: 71 bhp, 96 Nm, 5-speed manual or AMT.
  • 1.0L turbo petrol: 99 bhp, 160 Nm, 5-speed manual or CVT.

Both engines are now E20 fuel-compatible, so they’re future-ready for cleaner fuel norms in India.

Positioning and Price Expectations

The current Kiger is priced between ₹6.15 lakh and ₹11.23 lakh (ex-showroom) and the facelift could see a small premium for the added features. It will rival updated rivals like the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.Soon.
