I’ve been waiting for this one. The TVS Ntorq 150 is finally confirmed, and if you’ve ever ridden the Ntorq 125, you already know why this is such a big deal. That scooter had the perfect mix of fun and practicality, but now TVS is taking things up a notch with a more powerful, sportier machine that feels like it’s built to challenge motorcycles on city streets.
Design and Road Presence
From the teaser itself, the first thing that caught my eye was the new quad-projector LED headlamp. It looks sharp, almost angry, like the scooter is ready to pounce. The signature “T” shaped DRL makes a comeback, tying it back to its 125cc sibling, but the overall stance feels bolder and more muscular. I can already imagine it turning heads at night with that aggressive front apron glowing on the road.
What excites me even more is the addition of 14-inch alloy wheels on both ends. Bigger wheels don’t just look good, they also mean more stability and confidence, especially when cornering or riding over rough patches. It’s the kind of upgrade you actually feel when you ride.
Engine and Riding Experience
The heart of the Ntorq 150 is, of course, the new 150cc engine. While TVS hasn’t officially revealed whether it’s air-cooled or liquid-cooled, the buzz suggests it will be an air-cooled unit to keep prices in check. Power figures are expected to be around 12 bhp and 13 Nm of torque, which is a solid jump from the 125. That, paired with the deeper exhaust note teased, is going to make this scooter sound and feel far sportier.
I love that TVS is also bringing riding modes like “Street” and “Race.” It makes the scooter versatile calm for everyday traffic but ready to unleash when the road opens up.
Features and Safety
Tech lovers won’t be disappointed. A TFT instrument cluster with SmartXonnect Bluetooth features like navigation and ride analytics makes this scooter feel premium. On top of that, single-channel ABS, a front disc brake, and rear drum setup mean safety isn’t being compromised for performance. Small touches like a USB charging port, external fuel filler, and large storage only add to its practicality.
The Bigger Picture
TVS is officially launching the Ntorq 150 on September 1, 2025, at its Hosur factory. Pricing is expected to be between ₹1.30 lakh and ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it right in the middle of some heavy competition like the Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160, and Aprilia’s 160cc range.
If the Ntorq 125 was about fun, the TVS Ntorq 150 feels like TVS’s way of saying, “We can do performance scooters better than anyone else.” And honestly, I can’t wait to hear that bassy exhaust for myself.
