Intro
Citroen has opened pre-bookings for the Aircross X in India for ₹11,000. This new top-spec trim introduces a feature-packed refresh to take on mainstream rivals, following the same strategy as the recently launched C3 X and Basalt X.
Citroen Aircross X pre-bookings
Citroen has started taking bookings at ₹11,000 as teasers roll out, with Aircross X being the new top-spec trim. Festive season timeline is being indicated across outlets, with the car being previewed as part of the brand’s ongoing ‘X’ upgrade cycle.
New features and updates
Confirmed additions include cruise control and new seat upholstery. Following the updates seen on the C3 X and Basalt X, the new Aircross X is also expected to get features like ventilated front seats, push-button start with keyless entry, and a 360-degree camera. Higher trims may also offer an auto-dimming IRVM and Citroën’s Cara voice assistant.
Design and exterior changes
No major design changes expected, just ‘Aircross X’ badging and a new dark green colour teased in early clips. Dimensions and stance should remain the same, with reports of carryover wheels and dual-tone themes.
Engine and performance
Aircross X is expected to get the 1.2-litre lineup: NA petrol and 110 hp turbo-petrol with 6MT or 6AT options. For reference, the turbo is rated at up to 205 Nm with the auto, while ARAI efficiency for the current model is 17.6 km/l (AT) and 18.5 km/l (MT).
Safety and chassis
Six airbags, ABS with EBD and ESP to be standard on Aircross X, same as Citroen’s latest trims. Chassis should be same MacPherson strut front and twist-beam rear, tuned for everyday comfort over outright sport.
Price and variants
Pricing has not yet been announced, but the ‘X’ suffix indicates it will be a new, fully loaded top-spec trim. Bookings are open, and the price is expected to be revealed soon. The Aircross X, with its feature-rich turbo-AT combination, aims to be a compelling option against mainstream rivals.
