Bajaj Auto isn’t slowing down in the 125cc space. After the Pulsar 125, NS125, N125, and the fuel-efficient Freedom 125 NG04, the brand has confirmed it’s prepping a fifth 125cc model for FY2026. And while the official name is under wraps, early buzz suggests it might revive the ‘Pulsar P’ series with a new P125.
That wouldn’t be surprising. The P150 design language was well-received, and a 125cc version based on that platform could hit the sweet spot between sporty appeal and daily usability.
Mechanically, Bajaj might not reinvent the wheel. The brand is expected to use the 124.59cc engine already doing duty in the N125. That mill makes 11.83 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 11 Nm at 6,000 rpm. On the N125, it impressed with its peppy response and smooth power delivery — making it likely that the upcoming bike will feel just as engaging.
What will really matter, though, is where Bajaj positions it in the price spectrum. Here’s a look at the current range for context:
Price Comparison of Bajaj’s Current 125cc Lineup
Model | Engine (cc) | Power (bhp) | Mileage (kmpl) | Key Highlight | Ex-Showroom Price (Delhi) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Pulsar 125 | 124.4 | 11.8 | 50 | Iconic design, basic tech | ₹85,178–₹97,133 |
Pulsar NS125 | 124.45 | 12 | ~64.75 | Sporty street styling | ₹99,994–₹1,07,000 |
Pulsar N125 | 124.59 | 11.83 | ~55–60 | Bluetooth, USB, best in segment | ₹94,707–₹98,707 |
Freedom 125 NG04 | 125 (CNG) | Not stated | 65–82.5 | World’s first CNG bike | ₹90,272–₹1.10 Lakh |
If Bajaj can get the pricing below Rs 95,000 on the new version, there could be a rather serious in-house rival to the N125. On the other if it heralds more tech or a more polished ride it may sit one rung above it.

While it’s too early for a full spec breakdown or design reveal, here’s what you might expect based on current trends:
- Likely design inspired by the Pulsar P150
- Same 124.59cc engine from the N125
- Combi braking, mono-shock rear, and possibly Bluetooth tech
- Launch expected between April 2025 and March 2026
For now, we’ll be watching closely to see if Bajaj goes nostalgic with the ‘P’ badge or takes a new route altogether. Either way, the 125cc space is heating up again — and Bajaj looks ready to dominate it.
