BMW has introduced the iX1 LWB (Long Wheelbase) electric SUV in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 on 17 January 2025. The launch is a significant move for the company as it would be BMW’s first locally assembled electric vehicle in India.

Price and Variants

The BMW iX1 LWB comes in one variant, eDrive20L M Sport, at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹49.00 lakh. It’s more affordable than fully imported alternatives.

Performance and Range

The iX1 LWB has impressive performance with its front mounted electric motor. It produces 204 bhp and 250 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. The maximum speed has been limited electronically to 175 km/h.
