Intro
The Ducati Diavel V4 RS is the top of the range, numbered-series Diavel with the Desmosedici Stradale V4, with superbike power in a muscle cruiser body. It’s a big deal because Ducati claims it’s the fastest accelerating production bike they’ve ever built, with deliveries starting in Europe this December and in the US in January 2026.
What’s new on the Ducati Diavel V4 RS?
This RS spec is all about the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 with counter-rotating crank and Desmodromic timing, 6-speed box and STM EVO-SBK dry clutch. Ducati claims 182hp at 12,250rpm and 120Nm at 9,500rpm, with DQS 2.0 for up/down shifts and shorter final drive ratios for more punch in low gears.
Engine and performance: Desmosedici Stradale V4
Ducati claims a blistering 0–100 km/h time of just 2.52 seconds, with the number achieved by MotoGP rider Marc Márquez. This makes the V4 RS the fastest accelerating production bike Ducati has ever built, powered by its 182hp engine and a torque curve tuned for launch control via Ducati Power Launch. It also features Bosch IMU-backed rider aids for stability when the grip gets marginal.
Diavel V4 RS design and weight reduction
The chassis is an aluminum monocoque frame, steel trellis subframe and single-sided aluminum swingarm, with forged “Y”-design wheels and a carbon-rich body that saves around 3kg vs the standard Diavel V4. The RS gets dedicated livery, titanium exhaust tips and a laser-etched numbered plaque on the rear cylinder head cover, and ships as a single-seater with pillion kit supplied.
Suspension, brakes and rider aids
Fully adjustable Öhlins bits include a 48mm NIX30 fork and STX46 shock, with braking mirroring the Panigale with dual 330mm discs and Stylema monoblocks up front and 265mm rear disc. Electronics include Cornering ABS, DTC, DWC, DPL, four riding modes (including a first-ever Race mode for Diavel) and 5-inch TFT with RS graphics and performance timers.
Price and availability
Price TBC, but media guidance is premium over the Diavel V4. Ducati confirms Europe deliveries from December 2025, with the US and other markets in January 2026, as it’s a numbered-series bike not a limited edition.
Final thought
By combining superbike power with a lighter chassis and sharper electronics, the V4 RS is poised to become the new benchmark for muscle cruisers. That remarkable 2.52-second 0–100 km/h time is a testament to its performance. Early birds in Europe will get it in December, the rest of the world close behind.
