Hero MotoCorp is working on an electric version of its bestselling Splendor motorcycle. The Splendor Electric, currently in its final development phase under the codename “AEDA,” is expected to hit Indian roads by late 2025 or 2026, with some reports pointing to a full-scale launch in 2027.

The upcoming EV is being designed at Hero’s Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur and is targeted toward the mass-market commuter segment a direct extension of the brand’s stronghold in entry-level motorcycles.

What to Expect from Hero Splendor Electric:

The Splendor Electric aims to retain its petrol sibling’s familiar design while updating it with an electric powertrain and modern touches like digital instrumentation and blue accents. Range estimates vary across sources, with figures between 80 km and 110 km being commonly cited. Some reports suggest an optional larger battery variant could offer up to 210 km per charge.
