The Hyundai Tucson Facelift India launch is generating significant buzz, with industry reports and strong speculation pointing to an expected arrival around August 17, 2025. If youโve been waiting for a mid-size SUV that combines bold design with advanced safety and next-gen interiors, this might just be the one to watch
This is more than just skin deep. From a sharper exterior to a completely new cabin and the latest ADAS Level 2 safety suite, the facelifted Tucson is ready to shake up the segment.
Redesigned to Wow
Hyundaiโs Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy continues but with more bite this time around. The facelifted Tucson gets a wider Parametric Jewel grille with tweaked LED DRLs that look even more aggressive. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned with cleaner lines and larger skid plates that give the SUV a tougher road presence.
The side gets a lift too with new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the rear is largely the same but gets subtle changes like revised LED taillamps and possibly a full-width light bar for extra flair.
High-Tech Overhaul
Inside, itโs even more exciting. The dashboard has been completely redone and now houses a dual-screen setup that could have 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch digital displays for both infotainment and instrumentation. Itโs a cleaner, more futuristic cabin with fewer distractions and smarter design.
Thankfully physical controls for climate and audio are making a comeback which will be a welcome touch for daily use. Comfort is the priority here with features like 64-color ambient lighting, premium leather upholstery, Bose sound system, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated seats.
Same Old Engines, No Surprises
Under the hood, Hyundai is keeping things familiar with the same reliable engines. You can choose between a 2.0-litre petrol engine (154 bhp) paired with a 6-speed automatic, and a 2.0-litre diesel engine (184 bhp and 416 Nm of torque) mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel variant retains its All-Wheel Drive (AWD) option.
Safety that matches the Style
“It wonโt just look the part, itโll be smarter too. Building on its existing capabilities, the facelifted Tucson will continue to offer Hyundaiโs comprehensive Level 2 ADAS package, which includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane-Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a 360-degree camera. As before, six airbags will be standard.
Price and Competition
Expect a slight price hike. The facelifted Tucson will be priced between โน29 lakh and โน36 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the Jeep Meridian, VW Tiguan, Citroen C5 Aircross and might even poach buyers looking at the Toyota Fortuner.
