Kawasaki has brought in the 2025 version of its popular Ninja 300 in the Indian market at a price of Rs 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model gets design updates and new color options while retaining the mechanicals that have kept this bike relevant for over a decade.
The 2025 Ninja 300 is available in three unique paint options. The Lime Green option is adorned with white and yellow graphics, inspired by Kawasaki’s top of the line superbikes such as the Ninja ZX-6R and ZX-10R. There are also Candy Lime Green and Metallic Moondust Grey variants available, that bring a unique character for you to pick your favourite.
The visual updates go beyond the paint job. The bike gets a larger flyscreen for better wind protection and dual-projector headlights like the Ninja ZX-6R. The new tyre pattern is the other change, while the mechanicals remain the same as before.
This is Kawasaki’s strategy for the Indian market where the Ninja 300 continues to sell despite being replaced globally by the Ninja 400 and later the Ninja 500. The higher displacement models may be technically better but are priced much higher, making them not viable in the price sensitive Indian market.
The Ninja 300’s staying power in India is due to its positioning as an entry point into sport-touring motorcycles. Many riders consider it a balanced package that offers sportbike looks without the intimidation of larger displacement bikes. But the competition has evolved a lot since the original launch and newer options are challenging its relevance.
Current market situation presents an interesting scenario for buyers. Many dealerships are offering huge discounts on 2024 model stock, making it a value buy. Since there is not much difference between 2024 and 2025 models, a discounted previous year model might be a better value for money.
