The XUV 3XO launched in April 2024 as a big step up from the XUV300, but Mahindra has more in store. The company is now expanding the 3XO lineup in 2025 with new trims and updated features—and an EV version is on the way.
New Trims, More Features
From July 2025, Mahindra is introducing a few new trims with small but significant changes. Expect more ADAS features and tech on mid-to-top variants. Mahindra’s AX5L and AX7L variants, released in Australia, feature Level 2 ADAS as standard kit.
For Indian buyers, the focus will be on refining the driving and ownership experience—without changing the engine and design too much.
XUV 3XO EV Coming Late 2025
The headline update is the XUV 3XO EV, likely to debut before the end of 2025. Built on the same platform, the EV will replace the aging XUV400 and use similar battery packs—34.5kWh and 39.4kWh. Design-wise, it will be the same 3XO with some EV specific styling.
Mahindra is strengthening its electric portfolio without killing off familiar nameplates.
