Maruti Suzuki Q1 Profit Hits ₹3,792 Cr as Exports Soar Despite Weak Local Sales

I’ve always thought of Maruti Suzuki as the quiet warrior of India’s auto scene. And yet again, it’s proved why it’s still a force to reckon with. While most brands are still shaking off domestic demand blues, Maruti Suzuki just pulled off something remarkable, raking in a profit of ₹3,792 crore in Q1. That’s not a massive leap from last year’s ₹3,760 crore, but in a market as shaky as ours lately, even a nudge upward feels like a win.

What really caught my attention though? Exports. Maruti’s overseas shipments skyrocketed by 37.4 percent. Imagine nearly 97,000 cars sailing out of India. It’s almost like the global market rolled out the red carpet just when things were cooling down back home. Domestic sales dipped 4.5 percent and you can feel that slump especially in entry-level and compact cars.

But even with fewer cars sold in India, the total vehicles sold globally touched 527,861. That’s the kind of balance most brands struggle to maintain. Maruti didn’t just survive a tough quarter, it navigated it smartly.

And what about the Maruti share price? It held its ground, inching up slightly to ₹12,634.45 on the BSE. It’s not a jump that’ll make headlines, but it signals something deeper. Investor faith. A belief that the brand’s global game plan is not just working, but thriving.

In times like these, it’s clear. Maruti isn’t just building cars. It’s building resilience.
