The wait is over for performance car enthusiasts in India. Mercedes-Benz is reviving its heroic AMG GT line-up with the GT 63 and GT 63 Pro, due to be launched on June 27, 2025. This marks a big comeback for the AMG GT lineup which was discontinued in India in 2020.
The new generation AMG GT models are a big step up from the previous ones. These second generation sports cars which made their global debut in August 2023 have grown in size and practicality. The new models 182mm in length, is 45mm wider and sits 66mm taller, while the wheelbase has stretched 70mm.

More Practicality and Performance
Unlike the previous 2 seater only configuration, both new models have a 2+2 seating arrangement making them more practical for daily use. Show more Though, in both guises, the centrepiece is the same, proven 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 now mated to a 9 speed dual clutch auto and 4Matic+ all wheel drive.
The standard GT 63 is producing 585hp and 800Nm of torque and the GT 63 Pro is uprated to 612hp/850Nm. Both deliver 0-100 kph in 3.2 seconds but the Pro variant is quicker in the 0-200 kph sprint taking 10.9 seconds.
