2025 Hunter 350 Launched by Royal Enfield with Major Design and Comfort Upgrades

Royal Enfield's Hunter 350 gets a comprehensive update focusing on comfort, features and premium styling.

Royal Enfield has pulled the wraps off its 2025 Hunter 350, breathing new life into the company’s most accessible motorcycle with meaningful updates aimed squarely at addressing customer feedback. The refreshed neo-retro roadster now sports enhanced styling elements, improved suspension, and several modern features that push it further upmarket without straying from its fundamental appeal.

Fresh Styling With Urban Flair

The Hunter’s urban roadster DNA remains intact, but it’s now dressed in three new eye-catching colors that take inspiration from global city cultures. The new Rio White, London Red, and Tokyo Black options join the existing palette, each featuring unique graphics that give the bike a more youthful and premium appearance.

Perhaps the most noticeable visual upgrade comes in the form of LED headlights for the mid-tier Dapper and top-spec Rebel variants. It’s a welcome modernization that not only improves nighttime visibility but also adds a contemporary flair to the Hunter’s otherwise classic profile.

“We’ve focused on enhancing what riders already loved about the Hunter while addressing key areas for improvement,” a Royal Enfield spokesperson explained during the launch event that coincided with the brand’s HunterHood festival celebrating the model’s growing community.

Riding Comfort Takes Center Stage

If there was one consistent gripe about the original Hunter 350, it was the stiff rear suspension that could make rough roads a jarring experience. Royal Enfield’s engineers have tackled this head-on with progressive rear springs featuring varying rates that significantly improve shock absorption.

The 2025 model also benefits from a redesigned handlebar profile and a re-profiled seat with denser cushioning, creating a more comfortable rider triangle for extended urban jaunts. Ground clearance has been increased to 160mm thanks to modified exhaust routing, giving the Hunter better capability over rough urban terrain.

One of the most welcome mechanical additions is the slip and assist clutch mechanism – a first for Royal Enfield’s 350cc lineup. The change results in a lighter clutch pull that makes stop-and-go traffic less of a workout for your left hand while adding a safety net against rear wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.

Tech Upgrades Without Losing Character

Royal Enfield has carefully selected modern amenities that enhance functionality without compromising the Hunter’s approachable character. The Dapper and Rebel variants now come equipped with the brand’s Tripper navigation pod, offering turn-by-turn directions for riders exploring new territories.

A USB Type-C charging port has been added across the range – a seemingly small addition that makes a world of difference for keeping devices charged on the go. The semi-digital console has been retained but now features improved readability.

Under the tank, the proven 349.34cc J-series single-cylinder engine remains unchanged, still churning out 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Real-world fuel efficiency figures continue to hover between 34-40 kmpl depending on riding conditions.

Three Distinct Flavors

The 2025 Hunter 350 lineup maintains its three-variant strategy, each targeting a slightly different audience:

The base Retro variant (₹1,50,000) keeps things simple with spoke wheels, a drum rear brake, and single-channel ABS. It’s available exclusively in Factory Black and serves as the most affordable entry point into the Royal Enfield family.

Step up to the Dapper variant (₹1,77,000) and you’ll gain alloy wheels with tubeless tires, that new LED headlight, a rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS, and Tripper navigation. Color options include Dapper Grey and the new Rio White.

The top-tier Rebel variant (₹1,82,000) shares all features with the Dapper but adopts a sportier aesthetic with its unique color options – Rebel Blue, London Red, and Tokyo Black.

All three variants see only modest price increases over the previous generation, roughly ₹7,000 for the upper trims, which seems reasonable given the additional features and improvements.

Facing Off Against Tough Competition

The Hunter 350 occupies a strategic position in an increasingly crowded segment, where it faces off against rivals like the TVS Ronin, Honda CB350, Jawa 42, Yezdi Roadster, and Bajaj Dominar 250.

What continues to set the Hunter apart is its blend of Royal Enfield heritage, extensive dealer network (over 2,100 service centers across India), and the vibrant community that surrounds the brand. The 2025 update only strengthens its position with thoughtful improvements that address previous shortcomings.

For riders looking for an accessible, agile motorcycle that balances retro charm with modern functionality, the refreshed Hunter 350 makes a stronger case than ever. It’s clear Royal Enfield has been listening to its customers and has delivered an update that elevates the motorcycle’s appeal without compromising its core identity.

With its improved comfort, refreshed styling, and thoughtful tech additions, the 2025 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 seems well-positioned to continue its successful run in the mid-capacity motorcycle segment. The motorcycle comes with a standard 3-year or 50,000 km warranty, whichever comes first.
