When I first saw the teaser of the TVS M1-S, it stopped me mid-scroll. That aggressive front fascia, the twin LED headlights with eyebrow-style DRLs, it didn’t look like anything we’ve seen from TVS before. This isn’t just another scooter, it’s a statement on wheels. And I could already imagine it gliding down city roads, turning heads at every signal.
This new electric maxi-scooter, which popped up on TVS’s Indonesian website, is likely coming to India and if that happens, I’m genuinely excited. Based on the ION M1-S from ION Mobility (where TVS holds a stake), the M1-S looks ready to shake things up in the premium EV space.
What struck me most was the blend of style and practicality. There’s a tall windscreen that feels tour-ready, a flat floorboard for real-world comfort, and that 26-litre under-seat storage? Perfect for city life. You’ve got disc brakes on both ends, fat tyres on 14-inch alloys, and a 7-inch TFT screen that feels straight out of a premium motorcycle.
But what really got my pulse racing was the performance. 12.5 kW motor, 254 Nm torque at the wheel, and 0 to 50 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. That’s proper quick for an EV scooter. And with a 4.3 kWh battery delivering 150 km of range, it’s not just fast, it’s practical too.

TVS hasn’t officially confirmed an India launch yet, but given how competitive our EV market is becoming, I’d be surprised if they didn’t bring the TVS M1-S here soon. With its bold design, sharp tech, and real-world range, this scooter could be the upgrade many urban riders didn’t know they were waiting for.
