Yamaha XSR300 Launch in India: Expected Price, Specs, and Design Leaks

Though the Yamaha XSR300 hasn’t hit Indian roads yet, all signs point to a launch soon. Rumors suggest a launch before the end of 2024 and the bike is already getting traction among enthusiasts for its classic design and reliable platform. Positioned between the smaller XSR155 and the larger XSR700, the XSR300 is Yamaha’s answer to the growing demand for modern-retro bikes in the 300cc segment.

The XSR300 is expected to use the same platform as the R3 and MT-03, featuring a refined 321cc parallel-twin engine and a six-speed gearbox, delivering a balanced mix of everyday usability and performance. The power output is expected to be around 42 PS and top speed could touch 150 kmph good numbers for city rides and occasional weekend touring.

What makes this model special is its styling. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Yamaha RD350, the XSR300 is likely to have round LED lights, teardrop tank and a clean minimalist rear. Along with a digital console and modern safety features like dual channel ABS the bike aims to blend retro charm with everyday usability.

The expected price is around ₹3 lakh (ex-showroom) which may feel premium but is in line with its siblings in the Yamaha lineup. The mileage is expected to be around 40 kmpl making it practical for daily commuting.
